E3 is the premier event for computer, video, and mobile games. Anyone who is a fan of electronics and related products needs to make it a point in their life to visit E3 at least once. The video game industry’s top talent gathers at the Los Angeles Convention each year, connecting thousands of fans under one roof. For three days, groundbreaking new technology and never-before-seen products will be available for all to see and experience. E3, taking place June 13-15 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, is a must for all those who love electronics and gaming. If you’re going to travel to see the biggest electronic expo of the year, you’re going to want to be prepared.

First things first, you’re going to need a place to stay while you’re in Los Angeles. A great hotel to check yourself into for the expo is the Luxe City Center Hotel. Located right up the street from the LA Convention Center, the Luxe City Hotel is your place to stay if you want to be as close to the fun as possible, featuring all of the amenities of a modern hotel including complimentary wi-fi, car rental, minibar and spa treatments. As for food, the Yard House is a good place to eat near the convention, offering a good selection of different drinks and a well done happy hour.

If you plan on spending a few extra days in Los Angeles, be sure to check out the LA LIVE entertainment venue and the Grammy Museum, both are just a two-minute walk from the Luxe City Hotel. If you’re interested more in the outdoor activities to compliment the inside gaming, be sure to check out the city’s famed Griffith Park. This huge park offers biking, hiking, horseback riding, basketball and even golf. There’s also the Griffith Observatory where visitors can come and see some of the most stunning views of outer space from the Earth’s surface. It’s a bit of a trek to get to the park from the Convention Center, but once you’re there you’ll be glad you made it.

Lastly, let’s not forget the main course, the E3 convention itself. While in LA, you’re going to want to spend as much time at the convention checking out all the latest games and tech. Each big company will have their own press conference including Microsoft and Sony. Take time during your stay to watch these conferences and be one of the first people to see the newest toys. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing the next big title announced and seeing the crowd go wild. After the days of conferences, everyone will have plenty of days to explore the exhibit floor. Not only will you be able to play new games that haven’t been released yet, you’ll also be able to find some exclusive merchandise not available to the public. It’s a fun time all around and there’s enough things to do for the whole trip.

E3 comes around every year, with each installment growing bigger and better than the last. If you’re a fan of all things technology, E3 is a good way to spend a few days in Los Angeles. This year’s date is fast approaching, so be sure to start planning before it’s too late!
