With winter all but upon us, it’s time to switch gears a bit and look at some colder destinations. In the don’t-hold-back, dive-right-in spirit, let’s shift our eyes all the way to the north. This is were Germen rock climber Stefan Glowacz, and his right-hand men Robert Jasper and Klaus Fengler, set their sights for their latest feat, choosing an area so remote Google Maps doesn’t even have in-depth, satellite imagery. An area that also required a 28-day, 350-kilometer hike through treacherous tundra to get to. The location is Baffin Island in the Canadian territory of Nunavut, and is the nations largest island, fifth largest in the world. Red Bull sponsored this isolated excursion, as a reminder to get off the couch and see the otherworldly planet we inhabit. (Watch the video to the end, the final view is stunning!)
