For those looking for an adventure-filled vacation that will raise your adrenaline and leave you wanting more, these exotic locations and experiences are for you. Vacationing can’t always be about serene relaxation, mixing it up and injecting some dare-devilish qualities are needed from time-to-time to spice up life. The following are some activities and spots that will ensure your heart’s pumping and mind is blown.
1. Hiking to Machu Picchu
If you’re searching for an international travel destination, exploring an ancient castle in the mountains, than this trip is for you. Hiking 20 miles to the iconic, ruin-filled landmark bordered by exotic forests, should properly be done over four days to optimally take in the experience. One thing to note when planning this excursion is Peru has required that travelers are accompanied by licensed tour operators to help prevent the ruins from getting trashed or vandalized. Prices for the trail are pretty steep with prices ranging between $850 and $1,350, but if you have the extra cash laying around the trip money well spent.

2. Exploring the Rivers and Islands of Fiji
If you haven’t been to the island nation of Fiji, you should probably book a trip to this breathtaking water wonderland in the near future. Aside from the pristine beaches, the kayaking, ability to camp on deserted islands and exploration of limestone caves, should be reason enough to go. In addition to all of that, one river that needs to be navigated is the Upper Navua River. The river takes you to tropical rain forests and through rapids ramping up the excitement a few notches.

3. Blue Skydiving
This next adventure trip might make most unnerved, but it’s a feat that has to be tackled at least once: skydiving. And, throwing yourself out of a plane over the Colorado Rockies is a way to take the experience to the next level. Out of the Blue Skydiving is a center located just 30-minutes away from Colorado Springs and it’s the perfect spot for first-time skydiver. Prices for a tandem jump costs about $199.00, but that’s a small price to pay for an experience that will produce memories for a lifetime.

4. Heli-Skiing
This last adventure trip is something you don’t hear about everyday, and it’s one that’s definitely not for beginning snow enthusiasts. One of the premiere destinations for this activity are the Ruby Mountains in Nevada. The isolated mountains average about 300 inches of snow each year, ideal for popping out of a helicopter on the soft cushion of snow. This isn’t a cheap trip either with a three day package costing about $4650 per person, but again this thrill of an experience for snow enthusiasts can’t be topped.
