Few sports or activities are as global as skateboarding. After gaining popularity during the 70’s, it really exploded during the 90’s and has picked up steam ever since. Being a sport that costs very little to practice (a cheap skateboard can be as little as $15), skaters from the farthest reaches of the globe can shred day-and-night on any patch of concrete they find.

A sport rich in cultural expression, riders often develop regional styles, showcasing their country’s flare and style in each trick. In the video below riders from four different continents, Nassim Guammaz (Africa), Jaakko Ojanen (Europe), Rob Wootton (North America) and Christian Bica (South America), travel to a fifth, Asia, to shred the streets of India from Goa to Bangalore. It’s a video that embodies that cultural wealth the skateboarding world knows and loves.
